Baby Lucy
On the 4th December Karen, who was injured in the Omagh bombing, gave birth to Lucy, at Altnagelvin Hospital. Lucy and her parents survived the Omagh bomb, they were in Kells shop in Market Street when the bomb exploded. They also escaped unscathed when their plane crashlanded at Tenerife a few weeks earlier. The pround mother said "Lucy was meant to be. She has a special place in this world and hopefully she will have a peaceful future because she has already gone through so much".

Walk of Light
Thousands of people took part in a silent candlelit procession through Omagh last night in memory of the town's bomb victims.
The 'Walk of Light', was organised by the Omagh Churches Forum, and ended with a cross-community carol service outside the town centre courthouse after passing the site of the blast. Catholics and Protestants, among them relatives of those who died in the horrific August bombing and some of those still recovering from their injuries, attended a service at St Columba Church of Ireland parish church. Catholic and Protestant clergymen expressed the town's heartfelt thanks for the many messages of sympathy, books of condolence and aid, through the Omagh Fund, which had been received from around the world.
