Claire plays at the White House
Pianist Claire joined composer Phil Coulter in a performance of one of his pieces specially chosen for the St Patrick's night party in the White House. Claire was invited to the showcase celebrations hosted by President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary. Earlier that week, Claire was guest of honour at the annual Peace and Justice Awards in Waterford City. She was presented with a specially commissioned piece of Waterford Crystal cut in the form of a grand piano which she accepted on behalf of the people of Omagh.

Petals of Hope Rays of Light
The floral tributes which flooded Omagh in the immediate aftermath of the August 15 bombing last year have gone on display in the town's library in the form of delicate paper art. In addition to framed pieces for each of the families bereaved by the bombing, there are three large pieces of works, measuring eight feet in length and six feet high and in each of them olive leaves, a gift to Omagh are used. The Olive leaves are an age old symbol of peace, and were sent to to the Church of Ireland in Omagh by a missionary from Nairobi.
Donna Marie and Garry
Donna Marie Keyes received a spontaneous round of applause from hundreds of well wishers as she arrived for her wedding ceremony in the town. Seven months after the Market Street blast shattered her wedding plans, the grief and heartbreak was cast aside as the couple finally tied the knot. The bride had been given a slim chance of survival after suffering severe burns. Her fiancé also suffered extensive burns in the bomb. The families were joined by over 180 guests for the ceremony in the Sacred Heart Church.
